Course Description
Do you want to become an addiction practitioner? Do you want to work with both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal populations? You will enjoy both classroom and practicum learning opportunities in this program. Let us help you reach your goal. Learn how to support addiction in Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities. You can learn the skills needed to manage the behaviours of addiction. We cover Aboriginal history, Aboriginal culture, and the needs of their communities, as well as other populations. This program is classroom-based, and includes 19 courses and two community practicums. An important part of this program is learner participation. Classes are generally scheduled between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday. The program is open to everyone.
